Space for a serif please!

We're all like humans, after all. Why do I feel the need to get some fresh air, sitting all day in my font suitcase, sandwiched between OCR-A and Papyrus?

Some of you might have guessed my name, as Palatino as common serifs go, I feel the need to get out of here and feel the 'space' on some real layout. Be that one bold word that makes sense on paper, as meaningful and purposeful as I was designed to be, and send across that one message that's meant to communicate with power.

Yes. I need some 'space', and 'white' at that. Not exaggerating, but that's a rarity as it comes by, and I feel so let down, not being able to enjoy my 'white space'. And to blame the dominance of the sans' all-pervading presence on web, I'm unable to even cry my heart out in my own kind, oh serif! What's the world come to?

Why am I here? The big question!

I need redemption from this life, and be fontly remembered for my strong desire to make a visible difference on print. I'm glad I have here a group to address my plight. I guess you reader's are not as stressed as I'm disowned, or not as bored as I'm lonely, but words just fail to get me noticed. Help! Oh serif!

For the pupil part where you say "Draw circle and feather 1 px," the tutorial is not clear.

Do not use the Shape tool. Instead, use the Elliptical Marquee tool and draw a circle. Then in the upper menu, go to Select > Modify > Feather. Choose 1px.

Then you can use the Paint Bucket tool to fill with black.
