Christmas Cheer!

Thanks too for all the lovely emails - it's been great to hear about all the interesting and creative ways in which you are using the pictures.

For me, this principle of sharing is what makes SXC such a fulfilling and friendly site to be involved with. Even better that the idea of sharing also embodies the very spirit of Christmas!

Love this rich rendition of a Christmas tree for a Christmas program at my church. I had hoped to use as a graphic for a background on my pastor's sermon notes that we throw on screen. I could have used a version of mostly the gold background with maybe a teeny bit of tree branch in the corner for visual variety and to complement. IE have the tree graphic for title etc, then the more basic for notes and scripture.

Love the lighting and texture. Good job.

This is a great shot. You've really captured the feeling you get in the wee hours of christmas eve when all is quite all through out the house. :)

I love everything about your Christmas cheer photos. The lighting and colors are great! I think it would look great in like a family portrait. Nice job!

For the pupil part where you say "Draw circle and feather 1 px," the tutorial is not clear.

Do not use the Shape tool. Instead, use the Elliptical Marquee tool and draw a circle. Then in the upper menu, go to Select > Modify > Feather. Choose 1px.

Then you can use the Paint Bucket tool to fill with black.
