Evolution :)

I started sharing stock by accident, because a friend urged me to.

I do some photography specifically for stock, because I am looking for something to post or share as stock, but most of what I share here is something I do for another reason and decide I want to share it with the world in general.

I am amazed at one it has done for my website statistics. I have well over 2000 unique hits a month, and I can trace many of my incoming visitors to sxc, and many more of my visitors say they came through a referral by someone from sxc.

That's not bad numbers.

I cleaned out my photos some time ago and reloaded all new stuff, eye toward sharing better quality and hoping that it would give people a reason to visit my site. It worked so well that I now need to redo my entire site.

I've been working on that for three months now, and have been in the process of contracting someone to do part of my website for me so I can have a more dynamic effect.

Because of that I ended up meeting people who wanted portraits. The portraits ended up attracting local models that liked my work and wanted photos for their portfolios.

I did a couple of local models, and then other models saw my stuff on Modeling sites I belong to, and now I have a waiting list for models who want me to work with them for TFP and TFCD.

Today I had to make arrangements to rent a studio, because I will be doing some wonderful nudes in a series for my body and face painting, the theme is Valentines Day and Romance. Some of the girls have expressed an interest in doing stock photography for me.

Which brings me back to sxc. You can bet when I get my photos I'll be sharing them here, because after all... this is the place that has really been the catalyst for so much of the change photography and direction.

Gotta love evolution. :)

Bonjour

J'apprécie votre travail qui est celui d'une véritable artiste. Merci pour le partage. Si jamais je venais à user de vos clichés, je vous ferais signe, j'aime illustrer ma poésie avec de belles images.

Best regards from France!

Dawn,

You work is stunning. I am hoping in the future I can manipulate a couple of projects to send you some business. I'll keep you posted if all goes well here in Boston.

For the pupil part where you say "Draw circle and feather 1 px," the tutorial is not clear.

Do not use the Shape tool. Instead, use the Elliptical Marquee tool and draw a circle. Then in the upper menu, go to Select > Modify > Feather. Choose 1px.

Then you can use the Paint Bucket tool to fill with black.
