Cloudy Scotland

These are typical landscapes of Scotland. The sky was cloudy, and it was raining. But these skies can make great pictures. So I shot each photo with auto-bracketing, and enhance the sky by making an HDR (high dynamic range) picture with Photomatix. To have more explanation, read my blog with the "Old Manor" photo.

Your photo of the two boats in Scotland on the Isle of Mull is exquisite. I am going to print it and hang it in my home. Thank you for sharing your photos.

For the pupil part where you say "Draw circle and feather 1 px," the tutorial is not clear.

Do not use the Shape tool. Instead, use the Elliptical Marquee tool and draw a circle. Then in the upper menu, go to Select > Modify > Feather. Choose 1px.

Then you can use the Paint Bucket tool to fill with black.
