But watch how you use it! It ain't no magic bullet, not every image needs it, and it can totally ruin any shot if you go mad with the sliders. I occasionally use it, but found a DSLR and low ISO gives me much better results!

Anyone knows if there is a similar plugin for The Gimp (Linux) ?

I have a lot of high resolution images all jpeg and some of them have those ugly spots so i really like to remove them.

For the pupil part where you say "Draw circle and feather 1 px," the tutorial is not clear.

Do not use the Shape tool. Instead, use the Elliptical Marquee tool and draw a circle. Then in the upper menu, go to Select > Modify > Feather. Choose 1px.

Then you can use the Paint Bucket tool to fill with black.
