Thank-you

posted by buzzybee, Jan 12, 2007 4:41 AM — 4 comments

I've increased the size of my gallery by 400% as of January 12th (I have 47 images pending approval at this very moment) and will continue adding at regular intervals. I've also made the decision to make all my images restriction free, but would still love to hear how people use them and get credit if possible.

The kind comments and dramatic increase of downloads of my images has been most encouraging and I'd like to thank everyone who has taken the time to comment, give ratings and send me emails to let me know where they are using the images.

Of course as photographers we are willingly making our images available for free use, but it is still nice to hear how people are using and enjoying them.

A little thank you goes a long way to keep the smile on a photographer's dial! So thanks again!

Jenny, I know (from looking at your photos) that you are indeed a "buzzybee". If you look in the dictionary under "buzziestmanonearth" you will find my name there.

However, I did find time to look at your photos, and I have to say they are incredible. Since I believe that photos tell a lot about the person that takes them, I would have to say that you are incredible, also.

Please keep up the good work, Jenny, as you have at least one fan (and I believe, many more - based on your stats).

P.S. Your site is excellent, also!

Hey Jenny, photos look great! I am currently living in New Zealand (born and raised in Canada) and can honestly say that it is this great country that inspired me to get more serious about photography (in an enjoyable, relaxed sort of way). Your New Zealand photos (especially Mt. Cook) have pushed me to look harder and longer for those beautiful, out of the way spots that seems to be around every corner in NZ.

Keep up the good work!

For the pupil part where you say "Draw circle and feather 1 px," the tutorial is not clear.

Do not use the Shape tool. Instead, use the Elliptical Marquee tool and draw a circle. Then in the upper menu, go to Select > Modify > Feather. Choose 1px.

Then you can use the Paint Bucket tool to fill with black.
