New Photos Competition!

Let’s have some fun!
This is a competition for all SXC members: show us your best shot! Choose the best or favorite photo from your gallery, one posted no earlier than July 1, 2006. Add the keyword newcomp to that image, and you’ve entered the competition. It can be any subject of your choosing. Anyone picking more than one photo, or picking a photo uploaded before July 1, 2006 will be disqualified.
Deadline for entering your photo: February 15, 2007.
Voting will be by the entire sxc community. To vote, pick your one favorite photo with the keyword newcomp, and add the comment “My newcomp winner” to that photo. You can only vote for one photo, but of course you can comment and rate on all the others too. Voting ends on February 28.
Maciej Lewandowski (polska1) will tally the votes and announce the winner.

IT'S NOT FOR SURE YET, BUT I'M WAITING FOR PETER'S ANSWER:
The prize: your photo will be posted for a month above the quick stats on the sxc home page. Your photo will receive lots of comments and attention!

I'm in. Strange, the search isn't showing up anything yet.
I always thought it was instantaneous.

Omar told me, that there migth be a delay up to a day ore something, to the new keyword to be added :) ..And as we all know, Omar is always rigth ;)

I don't think anyone will be voting until 27 February at 11:59pm when we can see all the images and decide :-)

How is the voting done actually? I have someone put "My newcomp winner" as a comment and it appears in my comments, but when I look on other people's pictures there are no such comments. How are we meant to do it? Should it appear as one word?

For the pupil part where you say "Draw circle and feather 1 px," the tutorial is not clear.
Do not use the Shape tool. Instead, use the Elliptical Marquee tool and draw a circle. Then in the upper menu, go to Select > Modify > Feather. Choose 1px.
Then you can use the Paint Bucket tool to fill with black.
