I was walking on the streets of Mumbai one fine day last year and chanced upon the litter that people make on the streets. I realised that serious art could be conjured from the trash people make around themselves and live in it. It is one of the ways to make people realise that they without their littering habits this thought would never have clicked in my brain.

Ha ha! on more serious note I would like people to realise that trashing is not a healthy habit and it involves endangering our environment. How about this - would you like live in trash that you make around you? No one would.

I ask for more ideas on trash / junk that can work to create awareness amonst people.

A shot of an overloading trash can with a piece of trash (paper, rotten fruit) falling in mid air. If you can capture the action of overloading and overwhelming trash quantities it would bring awareness to trash reduction and maybe recycling. I hope thats what you were looking for. Post that picture if you ever do take it ;)

For the pupil part where you say "Draw circle and feather 1 px," the tutorial is not clear.

Do not use the Shape tool. Instead, use the Elliptical Marquee tool and draw a circle. Then in the upper menu, go to Select > Modify > Feather. Choose 1px.

Then you can use the Paint Bucket tool to fill with black.
