Funny ... But True ...

posted by buzzybee, Apr 10, 2007 3:31 AM — 5 comments

Since I don't replace restrictions on the images in my gallery, people don't often bother to contact me to let me know where an image is being used.

Just before Easter a good friend of mine called with a very funny story. I recently took some photos to commerate her engagement. I put a couple of the shots up on SXC and one in particular has been quite popular. This is the shot in question.

This particular friend used to work in a large corporate in Australia with her previous boyfriend. She has since left and become engaged to someone else, but the ex still works there.

The corporate recently commissioned an external design house to create a presentation which is being shown at all their offices around Australia.

Can you imagine the ex's face when the engagement photo popped up in the slide presentation, on a massive screen, not just once, but several times throughout the presentation :-)

Great story Buzzy.

I love your photos, but unfortunately when I save a pic to Stock image folder, unless it expresses that the uploader must be contacted, I don't add the posters name.

Can we put our galleries in our profile so others might have a look to see if their images are being used and how they are being used.

Cheers

Kaptain

Great story! Yeah, what a small world... Sometimes, we get miracles even in daily life:)

For the pupil part where you say "Draw circle and feather 1 px," the tutorial is not clear.

Do not use the Shape tool. Instead, use the Elliptical Marquee tool and draw a circle. Then in the upper menu, go to Select > Modify > Feather. Choose 1px.

Then you can use the Paint Bucket tool to fill with black.
